She was a four year member and one-year captain of the Women's Lacrosse team, as well as an active participant in Greek Life and other organizations on campus. When asked the question, "Why Team IMPACT?" Cate said:
Team IMPACT has changed my life for the better and I am honored to be a part of the Team IMPACT staff! As a member of the Women’s Lacrosse team at Ohio Wesleyan University, I had the opportunity to experience a relationship similar to that of a Team IMPACT relationship. That experience changed my life for the better. Once I graduated from OWU, I was as passionate about finding a career where I could provide other student-athletes with the amazing opportunity my teammates and I had, and further benefit the amazing children and their families that we serve.
